ONCE UPON A TIME IN A FARAWAY

STORE LIVED TWO LITTLE BIRDS NAMED

FRED AND HIS FRIEND SALLY.THEY

HAD BEEN AT THE STORE FOR WHAT

SEEMED LIKE ETERNITY.

ALL THE FRIENDS THEY MADE ALWAYS

CAME AND LEFT.BUT SOMEHOW FRED AND

SALLY WERE ALWAYS LEFT BEHIND.SOME

WELL MEANING LADY HAD PICKED THEM UP

,INSPECTED THEM AND SAT THEM DOWN

IN THE BACK.

OUR LITTLE FRIENDS HAD NOT LEARNED TO

WALK LIKE THE OTHER LITTLE BIRDIES YET.

SO IN THE BACK THEY WOULD STAY.SLOWLY

ALL THEIR FRIENDS WOULD LEAVE AGAIN.

THEY WOULD ALWAYS THINK,'OH BOY,TOMORROW

WILL BE OUR TURN TO GO.BUT ALAS,A YOUNG

MAN WOULD ALWAYS COME IN EARLY IN THE

MORNINGS AND PUT LOTS MORE BIRDIES IN

FRONT OF THEM.AND THE STORY WOULD BE THE

SAME.EVERYDAY.

FRED AND SALLY WERE SO SAD.THEY WANTED

A HOME TOO.WHATEVER THAT MEANT,THEY

WEREN'T SURE.BUT THEY WANTED IT.

FINALLY ONE DAY LATE IN THE EVENING.

THE STORE WAS ABOUT TO CLOSE.IN CAME THIS

MAN.FRED SAID TO SALLY,"NO NEED TO GET EXCITED,

MEN DON'T BUY US,ONLY WOMEN BUY US."SALLY

SAID."NO,FRED HE'S COMING TOWARD US."

THE MAN DID COME.HE PICKED FRED UP.LOOKED HIM

OVER.FRED THOUGHT,"OH NO,THIS MAN DOESN'T

KNOW WE'RE A PAIR.I CAN'T LEAVE WITHOUT

MY SALLY."

BUT THE MAN HAD VERY KIND EYES AS HE SCANNED

FRED.THEN THE MAN DID IT.HOORAY--------

HE REACHED DOWN AND PICKED UP THE ONLY BIRDIE

LEFT,SALLY.

THE BIRDIES WERE SO HAPPY.THEY KNEW,COME

MORNING,THAT SAME BOY WOULD COME AND PUT

MORE BIRDIES IN FRONT OF THEM.

THEY DIDN'T HAVE AN IDEA WHAT HOME WAS

BUT THEY WERE GOING TO THEIRS.

ANOTHER LADY PUT THEM IN A BAG WRAPPED IN

PAPER TOGETHER.SEE!"SHE KNOWS WE ARE

SUPPOSE TO BE TOGETHER," SAID FRED.

THE MAN TOOK THEM TO HIS HOME.THE MAN WAS

SO HAPPY AS HE HANDED THE BIRDIES TO THIS

LADY.

SHE HAD KIND EYES TOO.SHE WAS SO HAPPY.

SHE REACHED AND KISSED THE MAN.THE BIRDIES

KNEW WHAT KISSING WAS.THEY HAD SEEN OTHER

BIRDIES KISSING.

THE LADY WAS SO HAPPY.SHE SAID NOW I CAN

SHOW MY FRIENDS OUR BIRDIES.AND GET READY

FOR THE PARTY.

SHE LAID THE BIRDIES PROUDLY DOWN ON THE TABLE.

AFTER AWHILE THE PEOPLE WENT TO BED.THE

LADY WAS SO HAPPY.THE MAN WAS SO PROUD.HE

HAD MADE HIS LADY HAPPY.

AS SOON AS IT WAS VERY QUITE.THE SALT AND

PEPPERS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE CAME

OVER TO MEET THEM.THEY WERE SO NICE.THEN

ALL THE CHICKS CAME AND EVEN SOME BUNNIES.

THEY TOLD FRED AND SALLY THAT MOM TAKES

PICTURES OF THEM AND SHOWS THEM TO HER

FRIENDS.IT WAS FUN,BECAUSE MOM WAS PROUD

OF THEM AND THAT FELT NICE.

THEY TOLD THE BIRDIES MOM HAD WANTED BIRDIES

FOR A LONG TIME,BUT SHE WAS SICK AND COULD NOT GO

TO THE STORE TO GET THEM.

AND DAD DID SO MUCH FOR HER ALREADY,SHE DIDN'T

WANT TO ASK HIM.BUT...

SOON THERE WAS GOING TO BE THIS BIG-------------

PARTY STARRING THE BIRDIES AND MOM WANTED

TO PLAY TOO,

JUST LIKE WE WANTED A HOME TOO.MOM WANTED

TO PLAY.THEY UNDERSTOOD VERY WELL.

AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.....

What a sweet "birdie" story. I love birds and love to hear them chirp and sing to each other. I've often wondered what they were saying to each other?

Great wordless Wednesday...who hasn't heard of the IRS HAHAHA
