NOW LETS GO SEE WHAT EVERYBODY
HAS DONE TO ENTERTAIN US,SHALL
WE?

DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN I
HAD THE HERRAND DISH IN
MY BATHROOM AND DIDN'T
KNOW WHAT IT WAS?I JUST
BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I LIKED
IT AND BECAUSE IT HAD BIRDS
ON IT.
WELL I HAVE DONE IT AGAIN.
REMEMBER ,I THINK IT WAS MY
LAST TT?ALL PINK?DO YOU
REMEMBER THE TWO BOWLS?
I FOUND THEM AT A GARAGE
SALE.I PROBABLY PAID 50CENTS
OR MAYBE $1.00 EACH.THEY
ARE STAFFORDSHIRE.
YOUR CHIN JUST DROPPED!
MINE TOO.I HAVE HAD THEM
A YEAR NOW,AT LEAST.I
NEVER LOOKED AT THE BACK.
ORIGINALLY ,I STARTED
COLLECTING PINK DISHES
TO DO MOSAICS.ALL KINDS.
THEN I STARTED SEEING ALL
THE PINKS AND GREENS AND
FELL IN LOVE.
I DID BREAK 1 SAUCER IN
WHICH I HAD BOUGHT 6.BUT
THANK GOODNESS,I COULDN'T
DO MOSAICS.THEY "STUFF'
ATE MY HANDS UP.(TENDER SKIN)
AND I COULDN'T WORK WITH GLOVES.
I COULDN'T "CREATE"HA.WITH THOSE
THINGS ON.SO THE DISHES ARE IN NO
DANGER.

SEE,OAKWOOD BY
STAFFORDSHIRE.
YOU COULD'VE
KNOCKED ME OVER
WITH A FEATHER.

ANOTHER TREASURE.I FOUND
THESE NAPKIN HOLDERS AT
THE SALVATION ARMY.$2.00
FOR 4.DON'T THEY LOOK JUST
PERFECT?THE FLOWERS ARE
ALL BUT THE SAME.THE TAG
INSIDE SAYS,TOWN AND COUNTRY
LINENS,N.Y.

HERE'S A BETTER VIEW.

AND THE LAST TT,I FORGOT
TO SAY THESE ARE FIESTA
FLATWARE.I TRIED AND TRIED
TO GET THE SPOON TO CO-
OPERATE.BUT LOOK AT THE
KNIFE.IT'S PLAIN ON IT.

AND HERE'S MY LITTLE

BIRDS.THEY HAVE INDEED

FOUND A HOME.

AND THIS LOVELY PITCHER.
LAST YEAR 2ND MONDAY.$4.00.
I AM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR
A BOWL FOR IT.ONE DAY IT
WILL COME..

WELL,THAT'S ALL MY TREASURES

I adore all your treasures, what great finds and beautiful pieces!!!! Your an hour and half from Dallas? I'm about an hour to an hour and a half from downtown too. (depending on the traffic) wonder if we're on opposite ends. I'm on the other side of Ft. Worth.

Ann, The birds won't stave if you stop feeding them. But, they aren't going to hand around very long either. Good question. Have a great day! xoxoxo Terrie

What wonderful treasures and I can see what my problem is. I stay home! I am so obsessed with my re-decorating that I never go antiquing, to the thrift stores or a yard sale. This is why I don't find wonderful treasures like you do, you clever girl! Great post today.

Have a Terrific Tuesday
I love coming to visit you

Ann, that china is beautiful! I can't believe those napkin rings weren't made to go with it. They look so pretty together. Your Fiesta flatware is great too! I didn't know Fiesta made flatware. I don't think I've ever seen any. This was a post full of beauty. laurie

Hey Ann!
Looks like I am going to have to go to Texas with my husband on a business trip just so I can go antiquing! You guys have way better prices over there than we do here. Unfortunately, my husband will say no. He don't want us sitting around in the hotel or driving around without him. He's protective! lol
I really love those dishes! And the napkin rings sure are a perfect match.
I just bought a few things at Home Goods and I'm not sure where I am going to put them! lol Bird Houses! One to hang on the wall and the other one sits on a table. I'm not sure where I am going to find the wall space for it! hehehe
Hugs,
Angela

Mornin' Darlin'...

Girl...just hang on, your turn to find a pretty soup tureen must surely be next!!! Hehe!!! I know, I know...I felt the same way! I had been seeing everyone finding these gorgeous soup tureens for little to nothing...and I just wanted one! Hehe!!! Mine's pretty plain looking...I'm still keeping an eye out for something a little more ornate/fancy!!! Loved reading about your James bringing you pots with lids...hehe!!! He's a sweetheart!!! I do the same thing with Russell though...I'll tell him to keep his eye out for something certain...and he'll go and look for it! Hehe!!! We'll educate these men won't we? hehe!!!

Well Sweetie, you know that this is my favorite tablescape that you've done to date!!! I do love those pretty staffordshire plates!!! And Girl...that pretty white pitcher (sitting there all frenchy looking) with the pretty roses...Ohhhhh, I do love that vase!!! It's gorgeous!!! That was a real treasure find!!!

Have a terrific Thursday, Sweetie!
Love ya,
Chari

Your treasures are beautiful! The table setting looks so inviting.

Hi Ann -- Me again, back to comment again after your comment on my post!

:-)

All I can say is ... $69.00 for a small set of dishes at a thrift store is WAY TOO MUCH. Good grief. For that much money, I'd want a full set, wineglasses, table linens, and a maid to clean it all up at the end of the meal.

I wouldn't be surprised if that set of dishes begins to be marked down as time goes by!

Not in my budget, either. Cass
