We do absolutely NO celebrating of Mardi Gras here in north central Indiana.

Perhaps, after taking a look at these photos, I'm glad. YIKES!

The frogs were funny though.

And the lion - - - wow.

Hi Ann...I like your style! I belong to an online group of painters...the Chic-Chicks. Mostly they don't blog. I sent them over here to have a look at yours...told them about your sweet header and the wonderful chandy you'd done...and that you were featuring Mardi Gras. Oh did we have some laughs...trying to set up a schedule for when the lion could come for a visit to each one's house...wondering where we might put in an appearance as the Bud frogs...and oh, that cowboy...LOL We're mostly ladies over 50...but, we truly enjoyed your pictures. Thanks so much for sharing. I want a Texas button...but, so far haven't figured out how to get it. Stay tuned...I'll let you know and be sure to say where it came from once I get one on my blog...blogs.
Blessings & Hugs, Susie

Thank goodness Mardi Gras comes only once a year. I am sure New Orleans and other cities that observe the occasion are prepared for what goes on, but I really can't see this in the average American city. You certainly had some doozy pictures.
