Hello again and Welcome to another
Trash to treasure hosed by Diane @

And Tablescape Tuesday hosted by
Susan @

Today I am double decking
again.I love both so....
Today I 'm going to
show you some of my
artsy/crafty things I do.
First my fellow rmsers
may remember.I had
always wanted a shelled
mirror.I found a mirror
at a thrift store for $3.00.
I found some shells on
Ebay,later found them
MUCH cheaper at Dollar
Tree.Thanks to a friend.
I had some old costume
pearls so I got started.I
used a HEAVY white glue.
Because I have problems
sometimes with all the
stringy things with a glue
gun.This mirror cost me
around $15.00,and if I'd
known you could get
shells at The Dollar Tree
so would've been
about $10.00.Friends said
they have seen them, as
much as $300.00.WOW.
Next,recently I showed
this little stool on another
blog.We found this stool
at an antique store.Maybe
$5.00,I really don't remember.
I re-did it with scrap-fabric-
50 cents.And the fringe was
leftover from another
project.I thought it turned out
much better.

I am going to show you
my REAL first
tablescape.The one I
posted Christmas was
my first to blog about
or my first for my
blogging friends to see.
This is my actual first.
I worked on this all
November long,I think.
Adding.taking away.
As alot of you know,dh
was really late bringing
in my Christmas
decorations.And when he
started,he got bitten by a spider
which,needless to say
was a long ordeal.And of
course I never got the
rest of my Christmas
decorations.But my
fall and Halloween
decorations are in the
house.Which if I ever
get my Christmas
back in the house,it
will not go back out.
Lesson learned.
Anyway,I have alot
of Fall things,so it
was easier,I didnt
have to work so
hard.It was really
alot of fun.

Hey--Another HOT giveaway
check out Joy,it's her 100th
she is offering everything,but
the moon. You have to go see
for yourself...

You did a fabulous job on your mirror, Ann, it's beautiful. I have one that I purchased at a shell shop in San Diego a few years ago, and it was well over $100 ... far more than I should have spent, but that hormonal shopping thing kicked in and you know how it goes ...

Happy New Year from Victoria :o)

Beautiful work with the mirror. I've always loved these, but they are really pricey. You've inspired me to try one myself, though I think I'll start small (maybe a picture frame lol) And that foot stool - amazing job. Great post, Kathy

The mirror is amazing. I like the shelf display that goes with it. The stools show how carefully you worked.

How handy you are with your projects. Much money saved on your mirror. That stool is not only very pretty but functional as well.

The scarecrow nearly hidden in your cornucopia is too cute. Love the way the acorn is repeated in your leaf basket. Wonder if that squirrel that has it's paw on that acorn will be able to move and hide it for the winter? If he can, it will feed him for quite awhile.

Like your mirror! Yes, it is hard to believe the price of shells in some places, when stores like Dollar Tree and Garden Ridge has them so inexpensive. Have a great day.

Ann...this is wonderful! I would want to use these dishes all year. Love the leaf plates! It is fun putting these tables together isn't it. I think it's the creative process and the instant gratification when we see it done...totally addictive. You sure have it down...this is gorgeous! Oh, and your shell mirror...everytime I see it, I think how much BETTER it looks than those I see for sale in stores...and they cost a fortune. Your's is so much fuller and better done! You done good! :-) Susan
