FAVORITE FAMILY FOTO FRIDAY

WELCOME AGAIN TO

FAVORITE FAMILY FOTO

FRIDAY.HOSTED BY OF

COURSE OUR DEBORAH

TODAY,IS A PICTURE OF MY MOTHER.
I CAN ONLY REMEMBER VERY FEW
PICTURES THAT EXISTED OF MY MOM
IN HER YOUNGER YEARS.MY MOM WAS
BORN ALMOST A CENTURY AGO NOW.
AND PICTURES WERE RARE.I DID NOT
KNOW I HAD THIS PICTURE.
FOR CHRISTMAS I MADE MOST OF MY
GRANDKIDS,SCRAPBOOKS.NOT ALL,I
MAKE THEM WITH AWHOLE LOT OF
LOVE SO THAT TAKES TIME.I HAD
ALOT OF PICTURES IN A HEAVY DUTY
SHOPPING BAG.
I WAS GOING THROUGH THE
PICTURES AND LO AND BEHOLD.
THERE WAS THIS PICTURE.I'M
JUST HAPPY I FOUND IT.
IN THIS PIC,MY MOM IS
PROBABLY ABOUT 35.I DON'T
KNOW IF IT WAS BEFORE OR
AFTER MY BIRTH.I WAS ALWAYS
TOLD I LOOKED JUST LIKE
MY MOM.I COULD NEVER----
SEE IT.
MY PARENTS CAME FROM
ALABAMA.EVERY FEW YEARS
WE WOULD GO BACK TO VISIT.
MY RELATIVES ALWAYS KNEW
I WAS HER DAUGHTER,BY LOOKING
AT ME.NOW,AS ALOT OF US DO.
WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR,
ALL I SEE IS MY MOM.........
FUNNY HOW THAT HAPPENS
ISN'T IT?
THANK YOU FOR
COMING TO SEE AND SHARE
MY FAMILY PICS WITH ME.

What a wonderful gift for your grandkids, they are so lucky you are willing to spend the HOURS it takes to do a scrapbook instead of just handing over a gift. And what a treasure to have found a picture of your Mom. She was beautiful! When I look in the mirror, I see my Aunt Bunny.

Good Morning Ann! What a treasure you found! Your mom is so pretty...and so are you! When I would see family, they would always look at me and say...Now, who does she look like? Finally at 21 I asked my mom if I were adopted. She laughed! Now I look so much like her it's scarey!! Have a great weekend! ...hugs...Debbie

Ann, your mother looks so pretty. I love that you found this picture of her, and loved that you shared some memories. I'm sure your grandchildren will treasure their scrapbooks you made, especially since I know how beautiful the scrapbooks were. laurie

Oh Ann, here it is late Friday and I'm just visiting some friends and see that you have posted a Friday photo. I didn't get an email saying that you were participating and I didn't put your name of the list on my blog!
I sent out a reminder on Wednesday - perhaps you didn't get it.

Your mother was lovely and if you favor her, you are lovely too. I treasure each photo I have of my mother.

Hugs,
Deborah

I had to laugh when I read that you have your pictures in a heavy duty bag!!! My mom did the same!! There are 5 of us kids so there were a lot of pictures in that bag- actually there was 2- she still cannot figure out who is in some of the pics as we kids look alike!!

Love the picture of your Mom!

So smart of you to preserve your pictures in albums or scrapbooks for your grandchildren. They will have a deeper meaning to them as they get older themselves. Sooner or later, I think everybody becomes curious about their heritage. You have given them something money can't buy.
I have a picture of my Mother made in the forties, I think, that I cherish. I believe it was made not many years before I was born. Make sure you protect the one you have of your Mother, so nothing happens to it.
