It's not Chrismas yet so still time for the decorations. LOL Sorry about the spiderbite. That sure can be nasty.

Hang in there Ann, your friends love ya bunches & as Riet said, it's not Christmas yet!

Truthfully, I have some Christmas figurines & assorted holiday stuff that I keep in cabinets for easy access. There have been many years when I took the easy way out & we still had a great Christmas. If you can't find your treasures, consider picking up an amarylis or other flowering plant at the grocery store to fill a bare spot that you'd like to cover.

I hope you hubby is going to be ok. Spider bites aren't anything to play around with.

Hi Ann, Your decor looks very pretty with what you have done... just think, less hassle to pack up after Christmas. I sure hope your hubby wasn't bitten by a Brown Recluse! ;-) Bo

Oh, no!! A spider bite? I do hope your hubby is ok. And I didn't put out all my Christmas stuff this year. I just wasn't up to it, and didn't want to put it all back away either!

Everything looks pretty. I did not put out all that much this year. I never could decide what to do with my bannister, so did nothing. Sorry to hear about the spider bite, and like someone else said - sure hope it was not a brown recluse.

Hello Darlin'....

Ohhh my...a spider bite? Gosh girlfriend, I'm so sorry...and you know that I'm already praying!!! Thank the good Lord that it wasn't a recluse spider...please keep me posted! I really will be praying honey!!!

Well my friend...I think your Christmas decorations are just beautiful!!! I love how you decorated your mantle...and your "thingy-mabob" hehe...looks perfect amongst all your Christmas pretties!!! By the way, I would call your "thingy-mabob" a decorative finial...that's what it looks like to me! Your Christmas tree is just gorgeous...absolutely magical!

Sure wished I could give you some pointers on your new camera and that flash option...but I'm afraid I'm in the same boat when it comes to all this modern day technology! Russell had to show me how to use our digital camera...I know just enough about it to take a photo! There's all kinds of options on it that I just don't understand....sheeeshh!!! Well honey, please keep me posted on your husbands condition....God is the Healer!!!

Love ya,
Chari

Oh my goodness Ann! I hope hubby is ok! Please keep us posted. And I hear ya girl about this year being challenging. I told my DH that I wanted to saran wrap the tree and put it out in the garage. That way I wouldn't have to decorate next year!! On one of the HGTV shows I saw where a lady had built in a secret niche that held a Christmas tree. On one side was blank wall...then you'd just push on it, and it would spin and voila! Hidden Christmas tree!! I'm tellin' you, I'm having that in my next house!! Anyhoo honey your mantle looks beautiful! All soft and cozy! Vanna

Ann,
I'm so sorry to hear about your poor hubby! Hope all is well with him. Spider bite - ick! That is the very reason why my sewing room is packed to bursting with all of my holiday decorations. I was too scared that I would run into something icky in the basement - I would MUCH rather deal with it being too crowded in my sewing room! :)
Thanks for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment. It is always good to hear from you
Take care,
Kymber

YIKES...from a spider bite!!! Poor hubby. I hope everything works out well. Your house looks really pretty...incomplete or not. And I feel your pain on the camera issues...I still can't figure out half of what mine is supposed to do!

I had a spider bite. It takes a long time to heal. I stink at taking pictures. Everyone's look better than mine.

Oh my goodness, please let us know what happens at the surgeon's office.

It's fine to do less and enjoy it more this time of year!

Hi, Ann
Sorry to hear about the spider bite,, i've heard they can be painful. Hopefully not too much. As for as Christmas decorations,, mine are slim too .. why just last night I used a piece of a pine tree limb that fell during the snow storm for decoration on my back porch. I love all your Christmas figures and what nots.

I hate to admit it, but we haven't decorated at all this year. I have at least six storage tubs of Christmas decorations outside. For one thing I haven't felt well for almost three weeks and DH has had life get in the way of his plans to bring in the decorations each weekend.
DH is a man who knows his priorities. Family first. Then whatever time is left can be given over to other endeavors. Besides taking care of me, he has also been trying to help our daughter with a variety of situations.
The only thing that really requires a decoration is your heart, and you have already done that. Your heart shines through everything you do.
Please tell your DH to follow Doctor's orders, and I will keep him in my prayers.
